Ever since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went public fans of the NFL have been saying she is “bad luck,” but after the Chiefs win last night at the Super Bowl, we think they might be eating their words.

Taylor Swift has been with her football-playing beau since late last year. They became public knowledge in September after the 34-year-old attended one of Travis Kelce’s games and, despite her busy schedule, she has traveled to watch 13 of the 19 games he’s played. Last night, she was in attendance at the 2024 Super Bowl which saw the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22. Now, Swifties are point how Taylor’s support may have tilted the game in the Chiefs’ favor.

Fans say Taylor Swift wasn’t ‘bad luck’ for the Super Bowl

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) Taylor Swift fans said she wasn’t as much bad luck as Chiefs fans thought after they won the Super Bowl last night (February 11).

The Chiefs won over the 49ers during overtime, and their victory was quite a big jump from their position at halftime. During the game’s break, the score was 10-3 and the 49ers were in the lead.

However, they came back out fighting and managed to win the Super Bowl trophy while Travis’ music star girlfriend was cheering him on in one of the VIP boxes.

Now, fans are pointing out that Taylor, 34, might just have been the key to their win rather than hindering it.

“I remember there was a narrative out there Taylor Swift was a bad luck charm for the Chiefs. Haha,” wrote someone else.

Another said: “Co-worker saw me watching the Super Bowl at my desk today and asked the score. When I told her the 49ers were up she laughed and said, “Haha maybe Taylor Swift is bad luck”. Can’t wait to tell her the Chiefs won.”

A third penned: “Man what a Superbowl congratulations to the Chiefs and Taylor Swift all u haters can go sit on it, she definitely not bad luck for him.”

Travis himself thinks Taylor is a good luck charm

A source previously revealed, Travis believes Taylor Swift doesn’t bring bad luck to his games with the Chiefs and instead helps him win, as he did yesterday at the Super Bowl.

“He jokes she is his good luck charm,” they told The Messenger. “Taylor is having the time of her life at these football games cheering on Travis. Her and her friends are fully embracing this era and are having a lot of fun being there.”

Despite being on her very successful Eras Tour and being busy recording her albums and making new ones, she is using this opportunity to let herself loose and have some downtime with her loved ones.

They added: “Taylor has worked very hard this last year and it’s fun for her to bring all of her friends along, let loose and show support.”

The Shake It Off singer has been attending the games along with some famous pals, including celebrity couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. She has also been seen with her beau’s family.

The celebrity has been seen in a box with Donna, Travis’ mom, and hanging out with his older brother Jason and his wife Kylie.
